WHO ARE WE?
CBD Architects is a family owner and operated architectural practice. Which combines the power of Architects, Building Designers, Interior Designers and Drafts people. All coming together to listen to you, interpret what you have to say, and create breath-taking architecture.
Our story begun at 338 Middleton Loop in Albany, Western Australia, and has continued for nearly 30 years. We are a medium sized studio with international dreams, and a body of work to prove it. Our doors are always open to the public, simply walk up the stairs and you'll find us ready to talk over a cup of coffee or tea. We opened our Perth office in 2008, and our first international satellite office in Indonesia Bali in 2022.
CBD Architects is the natural evolution and combination of talents; merging the experience of Roberto Forgione and innovation of David Tomic. We are focused on delivering the absolute best quality of work for our clients whilst focusing on sustainable architecture. The result is a studio which provides full architectural design services including but not limited too, architectural design, master planning, interior design, landscape design and 3D visualisation.
With a combined experience of 40+ years in management team alone, and over a 100+ years in total staff experience, we have seen, heard, and designed everything imaginable. From small alterations and additions, to multi-million dollar homes in the sky, our work speaks for itself.
Our team is passionate about delivering high quality projects. Each staff member has their own unique set of skills which we combine to form the perfect team for you. On all our project we encourage our clients to become a part of the team and family. We enjoy nothing more than the collaborative design process.
CBD Architects is a proud member of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) as an A+ Member. All of Architects are also registered with the Architect's Board of W.A and the AIA.

INTRODUCTION

DESIGN
Here we begin the design process. There are four main stages of design, with a few sub-categories. Sketch, Design Development, Final Design and Working Drawings. We are mindful of your financial investment and are constantly reviewing it throughout every stage.

PLANNING APPLICATIONS
After we create a design you love during the Sketch and Design development stages we progress to Final Design.
During this stage we coordinate and liaise with the required council to get your project through with minimal compromise.

DOCUMENTATION & SPECIFICATIONS
Based on your sign off and Council planning approval, we produce a detailed set of construction drawings and specifications to meet your every desire.

TENDER
We can tender your project to reputable builders; ensuring you get the best price possible. Or we can work directly with your preferred builder.

CONSTRUCTION
Once we've reviewed the tender results, selected a builder and finalised the drawings, things begin to move quickly.

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
From construction inspections to contract administration, we can assist throughout the build and ensure it is constructed the way it was intended.

Getting here: Parking is free directly in front of the building. Our CBD Architects sign is positioned directly next to the staircase leading upstairs from street level. Once up the first flight, turn left and our office is directly at the end of the hallway.
